How we handle alerts

We separate confirmed agency notices, manufacturer actions, court allegations, and community reports. Each carries a different evidence weight. When facts are disputed or incomplete, the page should say so plainly rather than compressing everything into the word “recall.”

Commercial relationships never determine whether a safety issue is covered, softened, or removed.

Verify with official sources

No independent publication is a complete safety database. Before using a product you believe may be affected, check the manufacturer’s support channel and the relevant government database for your country. In the United States, start with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall database.

If a device overheats, emits an unusual odor, has damaged wiring, or behaves unexpectedly, stop using it and follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
